Drum counts are made upon delivey of oil from the
vendor and also at numerous times thereafCer by warehouse
inventory personnel.
Visual Inspections
• There are daily visual inspections of the drums storage area.
Drums and tanks are located in an area that is highly visible such
that any leaks would be decected quickly by mine personnel. In
addition, Energy Fuels has initiated a program for quarterly
inspection of all facilities at the mine site covered by the Plan.
This quarterly inspection is conducted by the Surface
Superintendent or Mine Engineer and his report is reviewed and
approved by the Mine Manager and submitted to the corporate office
for final review.
Employee Training
Considering the nature of the material handled (flammable liquids)
no specialized training is required other than the established
fire protection training now in practice. Employees are
instructed on proper operating procedure around fuel storage
areas. In the event of a spill, employees are instructed to
implement the necessary fire prevention measures and to quickly
pump the impounded fuel into one or more of several tanks
available. The mine has in use several water tanks that could be
quickly drained and used for fuel storage if needed.
•
