Preventive Maintenance
• No scheduled maintenance is required on the tanks; all equipment
(i.e. fittings, hoses, etc.) is in regular use, highly visible to
employees, and is maintained and repaired as required.
Maintenance of surface water diversion structures and evaporation
ponds is done in response to the needs identified in the quarterly
inspection of these facilities.
Clean Up Operations
The Committee has determined that any spill can be handled in-
house. The clean up of any spill will be handled by the
maintenance division of the mine work force under the supervision
of the Surface Superintendent and the Chief Mining Engineer.
Security
To prevent theft and/or vandalism, mine personnel or a watchman
inspect all mine areas when the mine is not in operation.
Map
• The attached map shows the general layout and topography. The
location of the bulk fuel storage tanks or stockpile areas and
diversion structures are indicated.
Plan Review and Revision
The Committee will meet periodically, but in any event, at least
annually, to review and update the Plan. Further, if any spill
occurs, the Committee shall review the cause of the spill and
discuss preventative measures that would prevent the reocccurence
of the spill to determine if the Plan should be amended.
