Material The arm shall be manufactured from steel of sufficient strength to conform to <br />AASHTO "Standard Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, <br />Luminaires and Traffic Signals", latest revision with the following conditions: a <br />steady wind of 100 mph (1.3 gust factor) while supporting up to a luminaire weighing <br />50 pounds and 1.3 squaze feet effective projected azea. Unless otherwise noted the <br />location of each item listed will conform to the above drawing. The structure shall be <br />certified and guazanteed by the manufacturer. <br />2. Dimensions The arm shall have a nominal length of 10 feet, a rise of 26 inches and a free end <br />straight section 8 inches long and a 2-3/8 inch outside diameter with a rise of 3 <br />degrees. The arm shall have a taper of 0.14 inches in diameter per foot in length. All <br />dimensions shall conform to the above drawings. <br />3. Mounting The arm shall three 7/8 inch diameter debarred mounting holes to mount to the <br />standazd via plate mounting with 3/4 x 1-3/4 inches hex head bolts, per the above <br />drawings. <br />4. Finish The arm shall be finished per 09913050-5 "Public Service of Colorado Standazd <br />Specification for Surface Coatings of Street Lighting Material", latest revision in the <br />color specified on the purchase order. All hazdware less than 1/2 inch in diameter <br />shall be stainless steel and all hazdwaze greater than 1/2 inch in diameter shall be <br />galvanized per ASTM A153, latest revision. <br />5. Packaging The arm shall wrapped in 3/16 inch UV inhibiting plastic backed foam for protection <br />during shipping and storage. The wrapping shall be placed on the arm only after the <br />fmished has completely dried.
