F. REPORTS:
A 1Vater-Resources Investigations Report will be published upon
completion of the study. l'lie report will be avilable for review in
1986 and will be revised and published in 1987.
G. BENEFIl~S:
The hydrologic information will show the location of the aquifers,
the lateral extent of the aquifers, and the water ehemis~ry of the
aquifers. Surface-v:ater quantity and quality will also to reported.
The quantity data will only represent one year of data and,
therefore, should not be extrapolated beyond reasonable limits.
l~lie BLA1 can use the information from the report to wri'e Tract
Profile Reports and Environmental Impact Statements. The
information would help the GLM to determine if the area is suitable
for mining and if tl~e tract should be a high or low priority. Also,
identification of the hydrogeolcgy would be very useful for
answering potential questions from both mine operators and
environmental groups. Again, it~sl~ould be noted, that if no new
wells are drilled, the ground-water information in the s~udy area
will be minimal. l~herefore, any conclusions that BLPr1 would maNe
about the ground water in the area v+ould be subject to considerable
debate and may, in fact, be proven erronecus by subsequent
drilling operations.
H.
