Depl. of Natural Resources
Mr. Bob Davies
Division of Wildlife
2126 North Weber
Colorado Springs, CO 80907
Re: Murdock Gravel °it
Gentlemen:
You previously prepared a wildlife report in connection with our
mining permit application. A copy of your report is enclosed.
After reviewing your report, we believe that the site you
examined was one to the north of the site to which the application
pertains. There is a site to the north of the Murdock pit which is
much larger and much more prominent than the Murdock pit itself. In
fact, I made the initial mistake of confusing the two sites. The
Murdock pit can only be accessed from the county road which runs to
the south of Section 27.
Also, we believe that your comments concerning drainage will not
apply to the Murdock pit due to the different circumstances.
Accordingly, we would respectfully ask that you determine whether the
correct site was inspected and, if not, to prepare an amended report
as appropriate.
If need be, i could probably arrange for the county road
supervisor to take you to the pit site. i know that 1 would have had
difficulty locating it without his assistance.
Thank you for your continuing assistance.
Very truly yours,
GARY W.
