Revised 1/11/80 <br />Section 785.20 (c) <br />• <br />The USGS has mandated that EFC not conduct augering at the <br />proposed location. The USGS decision is based on their be- <br />lief that the area may soon be available for surface mining <br />and should be mined by surface methods since this method has <br />a much better recovery factor. Therefore, EFC hereby with- <br />draws its proposal to conduct auger mining, and since no <br />augering is planned, no further response is therfore neces- <br />sary under Section 819. All EFC maps should be interpreted <br />consistent with this statement. <br />• <br /> <br />785-28 (a) <br />
