~ SUMMARY OF • <br /> MINING AND RECLAMATION PLAN <br /> The area for which the Limited Impact Permit is de- <br /> sired has been sampled and tested and the desired <br /> ore bodies run throughput the area. <br /> Mining will commence at the exploratory pit near thd, <br /> Center of Section 9. All top soil , which varies irl <br /> depth from zero to twelve inches with the average - <br /> depth being five inches, will be removed and stock- <br /> piled within the permit area as shown on the general <br /> map. After the top soil has been removed and stock- <br /> piled the ore material will be removed and stored at <br /> the mill site for processing. The removal of the top <br /> soil and the excavation of the are material will be done <br /> with a dozer, front end loader and a backhoe. The mill <br /> site is shown on the general map and is within the <br /> permit area. <br /> It is antics ated that the maximum depth of mining will <br /> be fifty (50� feet . During the mining process of the <br /> placer ore , slopes of the loose unconsolidated material <br /> will be maintained at a 2 . 5i1 (horizontal to vertical <br /> ratio) . <br /> Water will be developed and stored for processing ore <br /> and will be available for Wildlife and domestic livestock. <br /> After an area has been mined out it is planned that <br /> for every twenty feet of depth there will be a twenty <br /> foot terrace compatible with the configuration of <br /> surrounding area, at a slope of not more than 31l. The <br /> area will be retopsoiled and planted back to appro- <br /> priate grasses and plants. The recommendations of the <br /> Soil Conservation Service will be closely followed <br /> in this respect. <br /> The perimeter of the mining pit will be fenced. All <br /> aspects of the Mining and Reclamation Plan shall take <br /> into account the safety and protection of wildlife. on' <br /> the mine site , processing sites and along all access <br /> roads to the mine site with special attention given to <br /> critical periods in the life cycle of those species <br /> which require special consideration. The affected area <br /> will be closed to the public by use of a gate. Any and <br /> all refuse and trash will be removed from the mine site. <br />
