EXHIBIT G - WATER INFORMATION
The operation is not expected to directly affect
surface or groundwater systems . Necessary water for operation
of the pilot plant will be derived primarily from a near-by
well , named the Centennial Joker well , and secondarily from one
or both of two water storage reservoirs situated within the
Permit area. As much as possible of the water will be recycled
within the pilot plant , to minimize water consumption. All
washed material will be dewatered before discharge or removal
from the pilot plant . The lower water storage dam will entrap
any water which may separate from the dewatered, washed
material after its discharge or removal from the pilot plant .
There is no perennial stream flow within the permit
area, and all natural intermittent stream flow either is
captured in the two water storage reservoirs or seeps into the
porous sands of the ground.
The Company' s pilot plant operation does not employ
either cyanidation or froth-flotation, and the Filot plant will
employ no chemical agents or additives to the Muter, other than
a small quantity of a biodegradeable , non-toxic wetting agent .
There will be no direct discharge to surface water or
groundwater systems , but even if there were discharge, there
would be no pollution to existing surface waters or groundwater
because there will be no toxic additives to any of the water
used by the Company . Any water from the fine-grained reject
material which may temporarily be placed in the temporary/
overflow storage area between the two water storage reservoirs
will be retained either in the storage area or in the lower of
the two water storage reservoirs .
The Company estimates that on a full-time basis the
total water needs of the mining and processing operation will
be about fifty gallons per minute.
The Company has adjudicated water rights to 50% of the
two water storage reservoirs (Division 6 Water Cases Nos .
W-881-75 and W-882-75) and in addition has an adjudicated water
right in the Centennial Joker well located on the property
(Division 6 Water Case No . 81 CW 326 , Decree to be entered
after April 14, 1993) .
The Company has not applied for a National Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit , for the reason
that the Company will not be discharging any pollutants into
either the surface water or groundwater system.
-9-
