The Cory pit is limited on the amount of recharge that occurs due <br />to the isolation created by heing surrounded on three sides by deep draws which prevert <br />groundwater from rntering the mine. The Applehanz Base pit is located on the rim, not <br />surrounded by irrigated ground. "-The opposition's expert did not file a report to the <br />DMG but, submitted a report to the Protestants and testified in front of the Montrose <br />County Planning Board.
