• • Permit No. CO-0038024 <br />County: Rio Blanco <br />AUTHORIZATION TO DISCHARGE UNDER THE <br />COLORADO 41ASTEIJATER DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEI4 <br />In compliance with the provisions of the Federal Water Pollution Control <br />Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251 et. seq.; the ".4ct"), and the Colorado 'dater <br />Quality Control Act (25-8-101 et. Seq., CRS, 1973 as amended) <br />Western Fuels - Utah, Incorporated <br />is authorized to discharge from their Deserado coal mine, <br />located in Sec. 6, T?N, R1001J; Sec. 31, T3N, R100W; Sec. 1, 2, 3, 4, T?N, <br />R1p1W; Sec. 23, 32, 33, 3'~, 35, 36, T3N, R101W, approximately 9 to l4 miles <br />northeast of Itangely, CO <br />to tributaries to Red Wash and the lJhi[e River, and to Scullion Culch <br />in accordance with effluent limitations, monitoring requirements and other <br />conditions sat fortn in Part 1, 11, and 111 hereof. <br />This permit shall Become effective thirty (30) days after tha dot= of <br />receipt of [his permit by the Applicant. Should [he Applicant choose to <br />conCes[ any of Che effluent limitations, monitoring requirements or ocher <br />conditions contained he rain, he must comply with Section 24-4-104 CRS 1573 <br />and the Regulations For the State Discharge Permit System.
