The test results obtained using these
samples are used, only as indicators of the in situ soil
characteristics.
TESTING
Moisture Content and Dry Density
A2 through A6.
Moisture content and dry density were determined for each
sample tested of the samples obtained. The moisture content was
determined according to ASTM Test Method D2216 by obtaining the
moisture sample.from the drive sleeve. The dry density of the
sample was determined by using the wet weight of the entire
sample tested. The results of the moisture and dry density
determinations are presented on the logs of test borings, Figures
Triaxial Compression Strength Tests
Triaxial compression strength properties of
undisturbed samples were evaluated in general
testing procedures defined by ASTM Test Method
unconsolidated undrained test was performed o
tested. The tests were performed using a stra
triaxial compression testing machine. The res
triaxial compression strength tests are prese
B1
remolded and
accordance with
D2850.
