Box 959
Cripple Creek, Colorado 80813
Re: Teller County's "Glen Johnson Pit No. 1"
File No. M-82-044, Teller County
Dear Ms. Fulrodt:

Your letter dated July 10, 1986 regarding the transfer of reclamation
responsibilities for the above-captioned pit to Mr. Johnson, landowner, was
received by the Division.
In order to transfer the permit, the enclosed "Transfer of Mineral Permit and
Succession of Operators" form requires completion. In addition, the "New"
operator must submit a financial warranty, covering total reclamation costs of
on-site disturbances, and a performance warranty.
The "Glen Johnson Pit No. 1" was permitted to disturb 5 acres. Disturbance
beyond the 5 acres would need to be incorporated into the permit and
adequately bonded (by amendment, Rule 1.8); mining outside of the permit
boundary constitutes a possible violation of Permit M-82-044 and C.R.S.
34-32-116(1)(1).
Please provide the aerial extent and the calculated costs of reclaiming the
disturbance. Following the Division's cost review, financial warranty
reflecting the reclamation costs will be required; E5,000.00 is the maximum
financial warranty required for disturbances totalling less than 10 acres.
The new operator may call the Division for the proper fore required for the
type of financial warranty chosen. Enclosed is a performance warranty for the
new operators use.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Camille M.
