See enclosed map for detailed locations.
All holes will be completed to bedrock and will have a perforated casing over the
entire depth. All "A" holes (7 total) will be drilled and completed as soon as approval
is granted. It is expected that depths will range from 12-35 feet in the south to 55-65
feet in the north of the permit area. All "B" holes (4 total) will be drilled and
completed after one year of monitoring and evaluation of the "A" holes. In no case will
mining be allowed south of Phase 1 until one year of monitoring has occurred on the
"A" holes and the Division has approved the mining of the additional phases. All "B"
holes will also be monitored for 1 year.
All holes will be capped at the surface and marked to prevent surface damage. The
holes will be checked weekly at the same time of day for water levels. This will occur
for 1 year from the start date. Once per quarter, a sample of each well will be obtained
to determine pH and specific conductance. A log book will be kept with all
information, which will be presented to the Division at the end of the year. This
submittal will also have a detailed discussion of the ground water hydrology of the site,
the start and end of irrigation, the observation of groundwater at other area locations,
water quality, water rights impacts, appropriate mining depths, etc. Let me know if you
have any further questions. Thanks.
Sincerely,
L C/ ~ <
Greg Lewicki, P.E.
Greg Lewicki and Associates
cc: Mark Haldorson
