30 <br />~! <br />~• CONCLUSIONS <br />The following conclusions are based on the geotechnical <br />logging, testing and analyses performed during this study: <br />1 - The general rock strength is rated as <br />moderate to high for all rocks and rock <br />types, except the claystones, which <br />are rated as low to moderate. <br />2 - The slaking potential is high in the <br />siltstones and claystones and water <br />induced disintegration of these rock <br />types may be common using hydraulic <br />mining methods. <br />3 - The coal strengths are probably about <br />typical or slightly less than typical. <br />4 - Roof control should be no major problem. <br />5 - Floor bearing capacity is sufficient <br />for general mining conditions, although <br />some ru :ing may occur. <br />6 - Cavability in gob areas may be less <br />than desired and some pillar weighting <br />may occur. <br /> <br /> <br />SEEGMILLER INTERNATIONAL <br />
