Mined Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining permit

Area contains shortgrass prairie and rock out crops with shallow soils
Recommended that all activities associated with mining reclaim areas to shortgrass prairie
habitat.
Recommend that Riparian habitats be avoided and a buffer of 300' enforced
Assessment of Impact:
Disturbance to shortgrass habitat is likely from the proposed actions. No known species
present of special status. Although impact to shortgrass habitat is likely, overall impact to
wildlife species is minimal.
