EXHIBIT L -RECLAMATION COST
We have selected the phase of the mining that includes the largest area that will be disturbed at one
time to calculate the potential reclamation liability for the Division of Minerals and Geology. This
will occur during the beginning of phase 7. The dewatering trench will be at its maximum size, the
processing area and haul roads will be disturbed, and shoreline reclamation will be in process for
phase b. It is anticipated that these disturbances will total approximately 45 acres. Concurrent
reclamation will have taken place on [he shoreline for phases 1 through 5 and [he bottom of the pond
will begin to fill once dewatering has been stopped.
This cost estimate has been revised to include removal of the containment berm and liner for
petroleum products to be stored on the site. We have also included a line item for backfilling phase
one of the mining area. This cost will be removed from the financial warrantee once the State
Engineer has approve the temporary substitute supply plan for the site.
Activity Quantity Units Unit Cost Cost
A.
