• <br />• <br />Vegetation information <br />Vegetation types appear to be related to elevation and <br />exposure with a close association to soil types. There also <br />arrm~.arc to be a relationship between vegetative types and geologic <br />fornetions. The lower areas which are of grpac~r3-saltbush types <br />and pinyon-juniper types coincide with the Mancros Shale Formation, <br />and the mountain brush type, Pspen and Douglas Fir types fall into <br />the Mesaverde Formation. Vegetation varies because of local <br />variances of soil type, climate, slope aspects, altitude, and <br />grazing use. <br />Native vegetation type associated with lease sites is Mountain <br />Braase. Nbuntain Browse type includes Western Wheatgrass, Trx3ian Rice <br />Grass, Oakbrush, Servioebeny, Chokebesxy, Sagebrush, Nbuntain Bmre, <br />and Junegrass. Various species of forts are found within this <br />vegetative type. <br />• <br />
