Carder, Inc. <br />Regular 112 Permit Application <br />Ordway Pit <br />EXHIBIT I -SOILS INFORMATION <br />(I) Indicate the genera! type, thickness, and distribution of soi! over the affected land; <br />The soil in the area is dominated by Cascajo series a very deep, <br />excessively drained soils that formed in very gravelly sandy alluvium <br />over shale or sandstone at depths 4 to 20 feet. Other soils in the area <br />include Apishapa clay loam, Las clay loam, Neesopah sandy clay loam, <br />Numa clay loam, and Otero sandy loam. Attached is a statement from <br />the Natural Resources Conservation Service detailing their field review <br />of the site (Exhibit I(1)) as well as a map outlining the mine area and the <br />soil types within along with detailed descriptions of the soil <br />characteristics (Exhibit I(2) <br />(2) Additional information on soils or other growth media if requested by the Division <br />Any additional information regarding the soils and other growth media <br />will be submitted if required by the Division. <br />
