124 <br />• Site: 5MF327 (Figs 5, 53). <br />site Type: Open lithic. _ <br />rotation: SW=;SE!;, Sec. 2, TSn, R92w; UTM Zone 13, E273,150m., N4,476,OSOm. <br />Description: 5MF327 is an open lithic site located on the edge of the Yampa <br />River, 600 m. downstream from the confluence of the Yampa River and Post Oak <br />Draw. The site elevation is 6105 ft. (1,861 m.). Vegetation on the site in- <br />cludes native grasses, sagebrush, and herbaceous plants. <br />The site consists of a thin scattering of flakes in a 90 by 22 m. area <br />along the bed of an unimproved dirt road and in unvegetated areas adjacent <br />to the road. No tools, concentrations of flakes or other artifactual mater- <br />ials, or permanent features were observed. The site is disturbed by the road <br />and a powerline that runs parallel to it. It could be subject to flooding <br />• due to its proximity to the Yampa River. <br />Diagnostic Artifacts: None. <br />evaluation: 5MF327 has no potential for yielding information important to <br />prehistory and should not be nominated to the NRHP.
