207 <br />• site: 5MF331 (Figs 5, 58). <br />sica Type: Open architectural. _ <br />zvcation: NW;NE;, Sec. 7, TSn, R91w; UTM Zone 13, E275,510m., N4,476,215m. <br />Description: 5MF331 is composed of four rectangular dugout features and one <br />collapsed structure located on the terrace above the Williams Fork River. The <br />elevation is 6220 ft. (1,896 m.). Vegetation on the site consists of sage- <br />brush, grasses, and Gamble's oak. The site faces to the northeast and has <br />higher ground to the south and west. The nearest water is the Williams Fork <br />River 50 m. to the east. <br />The features are in an area 20 by 30 m. Features 1-4 all <br />average roughly 4 by 5 m., one of which has a sandstone block retaining wall <br />incorporated in it (Fig. 58). The fifth feature is a collapsed privy. Other <br />• artifactual materials assoicated with the site include automobile remains, <br />possibly Model-T Ford, rusted sheet metal, milled lumber ends, and other trash. <br />There is no visible disturbance, either cultural or natural. <br />Diagnostic Artifacts: None. <br />evaluation: Evaluation of the historical significance of 5MF331 should await <br />detailed archival study and examination of the site's architecture by a trained <br />Colorado historian. <br /> <br />
