As part of this application, the applicant must <br />assess the potential impact of his proposed mining operation <br />on local wildlife species. Because of my proximity to Denver <br />I would appreciate it if I could use this data at that <br />office. I would also like to have an assessment of the <br />proposed operation on the indigenious wildlife. I have <br />enclosed a map, description of the mine and reclamation <br />plans, and Mined Land Wildlife ~uestionaire. <br />The proposed mining operation is located in La Plata County, <br />northwest of Durango, Colorado near the 10,600 ft. contour <br />of Ohwiler Ridge of the Little Deadwood Gulch watershed near <br />the townsite of Mayday. The proposed operation is to rework <br />historic waste rock dumps associated with the Incas Mine <br />complex. One or more of the adits will be reopened and the <br />old underground workings will be explored to determine if <br />there is any mineable ore remaining on these claims.
