No
new outfaiis were constructed during the two quarters reported.
No discharge was noted during the 4th quarter of 2002 or the first quarter 2003 due to the lingering
regional drought gripping the area. Previous review of the 3rd quarter 2002 DMR's for the site resulted in
the following comment.
Please refer to Table 11-1 of the NPDES permit amendment for permit revision no. 1 (PR-Ol) for the
Lorencito Canyon mine. This amendment can be found in Exhibit 21 of the permit application.
Specifically refer to outfalls 001A through 009A. Please contact the Water Quality Control Division and
request correcfion of this table as follows;
1. Receiving water for ouHalls 002, 003, and 005 are Cow Canyon, not Jeff Canyon.
2. Receiving water for outfalls 008 and 009 are the Purgatoire River.
3. The location for outfall 009 is not fill 9. Please change the location as necessary.
Please ensure that the above noted discrepancies are addressed through the Water Quality Control
Division and copy the DMG on any associated correspondence.
We have no further questions at this time. Thank you for your diligence in pursuing your monitoring and
reporting as required.
Sinter y,
K A.
