<br />WFiERE4S, The Colorado Open ;fining Land Declamation Act provides
<br />statutory authority for the Land Reclamation Eoard of the State of Colorado
<br />to enter into agreements with operators or persons in charge of mining
<br />operations such as those contemplated by r >,~,,..T_~ to insure that the
<br />necessary stabilization and reclamation wort. tai11 be done to prevent land-
<br />slides, floods or erosion. This section of thz law furthzr provides that
<br />the Lard Reclamation Eoard requires a perfo:r~ance bond conditioned upon the
<br />faithful perforrtance of the stabilization wort: required by the Eoard; and,
