STATE OF COLORADO
Roy Romer, Gove
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
DAVID C. SHELTON, Dlreetor
DATE: June 2, 1987
T0: John Dillon, Sandco, Inc.
FROM: Patricia Martinek '-~~1^
RE: File No. M-87-064 1
Adequacy Items
The 1`ollowing items must be addressed by the applicant in order to satisfy the
applicable requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-101 et seg. Mineral Rules and
Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board:
John, I really appreciate the high quality of the permit application you have
submitted for this site. The plans are well thought through, and I think you
can accomplish these mining operations without causing off-site damage. You
have taken the extra effort to sufficiently plan for an environmentally sound
mining operation.
The concerns I have listed below are merely details to help refine an
otherwise very good permit. If you have any questions or do not understand my
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Exhibit C - Mining Plan Map
1. Please show the outlines of previous permits M-79-016 and M-80-130. If
portions of these old permits are not included in the new permit area,
then you will need to reclaim these portions or have them in this or a
separate permit. See questions on Exhibit E.
2. Access to your topsoil stockpile for the process area needs to be
included in your permit area and should be indicated on your map.
3. Please show the locations of topsoil stockpiles for the Alternate
Stockpile Area.
4. Please label the features shown as lines with X's located east of the
river channel along the north permit boudary, and west of the process
area. Are these fences?
5. If any areas included in RBK Construction Company's new 111 permit No.
M-87-054 overlap with your permit area, please show them on your map.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
