Two permi[ limi[ation exceedences are reported for 3rd quarter. <br />Quarterly Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) tests were performed on Outfalls 001 and 005 the week of July 13, 1998 <br />for both C dubia and P. prome(as. Outfall OOlpazsed for C Dubfa with "Concentrations with Statistically Significant <br />Difference in Le[hality" repotted at > 100%, while Ou[fall 005 failed at 100%. Bo[h Ou[falls failed for P. Pramelas <br />with "Concentrations with Statistically Significant Difference in Le[haliry" reported at 100%. Copies of the CDP$ <br />WET Test Report Forms for both species are included in the submittal. <br />Accelera[ed testing waz not ini[ia[ed for these failures due [o our investigative study [ha[ is currently being conducted. <br />This matter hu been previously arranged between TCC and CDOH. <br />Spli[ sampling for both Ou[falls 001 and 005 was performed during [he firs[ 2 weeks of September. These <br />comparisons are being conduced in preparation for a possible company wide change of laboratories. ACZ's results <br />are reported on [he DMRs for consistency purposes. A copy of the results from CT&E are included wi[h [his <br />submittal. Please note that [he CT&E analysis for both copper and silver followed dissolved analytical procedures <br />az opposed to potentially dissolved. The correc process waz not transmitted to CT&E, therefore [hese two <br />parameters should not be used in any evaluations. <br />Ou[Ealls 002, 004, 006, 007, 008, 009, 010, and 017 did not discharge during this period. Outfall 020 has not been <br />constructed yet; therefore, there is no discharge to enable chemical or toxicological testing to date. <br />Outfalls 001, 005, and 007 are being tested for Hardness in addition to the required parameters. TCC is conducing <br />some in[ernal sampling [o further explain some issues tha[ have previously been in question with the NPDES <br />requiremen[s.
