1
EXHIBIT D
SOILS
Stocks Clay Mine
`~„~a
'
~
'
San Isabel Stony Sandy Loam
d
^
' 1 - 5% slope
The soils in this area are stony sandy loans that are shallow over gra-
vel and cobbles. The subsoil is moderately coarse textured. Large
' round boulders are numerous with many of them nearly buried. Permea-
bility of this soil is rapid, and the available water capacity is low.
' Ruby Gravelly Sandy Loam
5 - 30% slope
This soil series is very shallow to shallow very dark brown loans to
clay loans. This is underlain by acid igneous, basalt, limestone or
sandstone parent rock. It is usually neutral to acid in reaction.
The permeability is moderate to the underlying parent rock.
Also included in this is clayey valley soils, which are roderately
deep, having developed on alluvial deposits, mostly from marine shale
parent materials. Typically, a dark, clayey surface soil overlies a
well-developed clay subsoil. Permeability is slow to very slow.

1
L
IJ

1

1
