TI'EC is a perspective purchaser of the property. The samples were taken in
agreement with and on behalf of Denver East Machinery Company who is currently
maintaining the permit under an agreement with COM, Inc. and Franklin.
Would you please provide me with some additional guidance regazding the Hazel A edit.
I have heard several stories about tailings that may or may not be present in the hazel A
edit. Samples 1 and 9 represent samples taken in the edit, with sampling descriptions
provide in Bruce Bevirt's letter -also attached. It appears that water quality is not being
adversely affected by the presence of these tailings, if indeed they are still present. What
will be required of TTEC, as a potential successive operator, to clear this issue with DMG7
Please call me if you have any questions regarding the sampling or analysis. I hope this
data completes your corrective actions associated with the permit. Ernie Simmons,
consuhant to TCEC, continues to monitor water levels, maintain logs and reports, and
operative evaporative water systems at the mill. Please let us know if there are any other
compliance related issues.
Very Tnily Your
Mamie Stew
Copies: Ernie Simmons
DEMC -John Miner
