<br />United States SOIL <br />Department of CONSERVATION 2754 Compass Drive, Suite 170 <br />Agriculture SERVICE Grand Junction, Colorado 81501 <br />Subject:Reclamation of Parkerson Pit Date: 12-17-85 <br />To: Al Ruckman <br />Dear Mr Ruckman: <br />The following are our recommendations for the reseeding of the <br />non-irrigated slopes on the Parkerson Gravel Pit. <br />species variety Xcomposition rate (PLS) <br />Crested wheatgrass Fairway 75X 12 N/ac <br />Yellow Sweetclover ---- 25X 3 M/ac <br />These introduced species are well adapted to the climate of the site and <br />should prove to be easily established. This seed mix should be broadcast <br />and hand raked.
