waterline. The section of the dischazge or suction line that is exposed to the air may be insulated to prevent <br />freezing. <br />The building will be constructed on the concrete slab to house the pump and controls for the pumping system. The <br />concrete slab (approximately 12 x 20 x 2 feet) will be constructed on the existing berm, with limited fill to establish <br />a stable pad for slab construction. The fill will be placed on the west side of the existing cell embankment. The fill <br />material will be obtained from within the boundary of the disturbed site or brought in from the portal area. Once <br />the new building is constructed, the building housing the acid-feed system will be de-energized and, if not required <br />for additional storage, removed from the location. The power-feed from the existing substation will be extended to <br />the pump-station. Extension of the powerline will require the installation of two additional powerpoles. All of the <br />proposed construction activities will occur within the previously disturbed area. <br />The waterline will be installed along the existing road corridor, except for that segment which traverses the <br />reclaimed and bond-released surface mine area. In areas where the waterline will be installed in the road corridor, <br />the trench will be excavated either down the center of the road or along the shoulder. Field conditions will dictate <br />the location of the trench excavation. The segment of the line which traverses the former surface mine area will <br />require that the available topsoil be salvaged and then replaced on the trench excavation. For this segment, topsoil <br />will be salvaged and placed to one side of the trench and subsoil excavated and placed on other side of trench, the <br />waterline will be bedded and placed in the trench, the trench will be backfilled with subsoil, then topsoil will be <br />replaced over footprint of trench and the area broadcast seeded with an approved seed mixture. <br />At both the Escape Shaft and 10-Right waterline, a manifold and valuing or similar device will be installed to <br />connect the waterline with each of the structures at these locations. Both of these locations are in previously <br />disturbed azeas. A valve will be installed in the waterline from the Fish Creek Borehole to direct the water to either <br />the Escape Shag or the 10-Right waterline. The water will enter the underground water system and be delivered to <br />the appropriate mine location. The existing powerline will be tapped into to provide power to the location. Two <br />additional powerpoles will be installed, one approximately midway between the existing line and the pad. The <br />other pole will installed within the boundary of the Escape Shaft pad. <br />Up to five manholes will be located along the waterline, with installed "T's" to provide taps for setting up feeder- <br />lines to deliver water to stock tanks. All of the installations will be of similar construction, with a 5-foot diameter <br />culvert with insulated lid for the manhole access, and a valve and "T"-connection to the waterline. Any feeder line <br />will run overland from the manhole to a stock tank and the water will be used for stock watering. Afloat device, or <br />other type of control, will be installed at the stock tank to control flows to the tank. The locations of the manholes <br />will be deternuned in the field based on topography and stock water distribution needs. <br />A utility building, approximately 10 x 10 x 10 feet will be installed over or immediately adjacent to the Escape <br />Shaft. The building will be placed on a concrete slab approximately 10 x lOx 1 feet. When the building is no <br />longer required, or at the time of final reclamation, it will be removed from the site. <br />Overland Belt Magnet (MR02-1791 <br />Twentymile will install a magnet over the overland belt to pick tramp metal from the coal stream prior to it entering <br />the primary crusher. The captured metal will drop from the magnet to a bin located underneath it for recycling or <br />disposal. The magnet is in a framework constructed over the belt, and a trolley system on the framework moves the <br />magnet in and out of position over the belt. The frame work is constructed of H-beam which is anchored to six <br />rebar-reinforced concrete piers drilled to bedrock. The piers are two feet in diameter, extend from 6 to 9 feet into <br />bedrock and will extend three feet above grade. A concrete pad approximately 8 x 10 x 2 feet will be constructed <br />under the bin to facilitate removal.
