AmerAlia. Inc. MWA-2 Dnlhng and Completion Report
In the Uinta,'Green River interval, groundwater discharge from 270 to 550 feet was minor,
ranging between L> and 27.3 gpm. Discharge raters increased from approximately 50 gpm at
>90 feet up to 145 gpm at 937 feet (a[ the lower part of the llinta/Green River interval). Casing
was set at 947 feet to hold back the water. Drilling below 947 feet to TD 11,200 feet)
encountered flow rates ran¢ing from 6? to 117 gpm. :\ large increase (up to 70 gpm) in
discharge was noted below 1,115 feet in the lower R-8 oil-shale zone. The increase in discharge
rate is probably due to fracturing. !n the A-Groove, discharge rates ranged between 110 and
117 gpm.
.Static fi'arer-! evel ,Ncasun~menls
1-he first static water-level measurement I l97 feet below ground level) occurred on
December 20. 1999, at a depth of 947 fee[, just prior to mstallalion of the casing Isce fable 61.
nn additional mcasumment (190.0 fceU was made nn January 5, 2000, at a depth of 1,1 l ~ feet
when a break In the drilling uccutrcd.
