The recom•
mended intervals arc for applications made in [he spring. Because DuPont'"
LANDMARKTM MP degradation is slowed by cold or frozen soils, applications
made in the fall should consider the intervals as beginning in the spring following
treatment
Testing has indicated that there is considerable variation in response among species
and types of grasses when seeded into areas reaed with LANDMARKTM MP.
If species other than those listed above arc to be planted into areas treated with
LANDMARKTM MP a field bioassay should be performed, or previous experience
maybe used to determine the feasibility of replanting treazed areas.
To conduct a field bioassay, grow to maturity ust strips of the crop(s) you plan
ro grow the following year. The test strips should cross the entire field including
knolls and low areas. Crop response (o tLe bioassay will indicau whether or not
to pleat the crap(s) grown in the usi strips.
ADDITIONAL USE UNSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL NON-AGRICULTURAL
USES
TANK MIX COMBINATIONS
Combination with other herbicides broadens the specmrm of weeds controlled.
In addition, total vegetation control can be achieved with higher mus of LAND-
MARKTM MP plus residual ttyyppe companion herbicides. 7o improve postemer-
gence control of weeds, add surfactant at 0.25%a by volume or a[ the manufacturer's
recommended rate based on spray area.
LANDMARK''" MP may be applied with the recommended rotes of other herbi-
es registered for this use: For zppliea6on method and other rue specifications,
the most restrictive directions for the intended combination.
o not tank mix LANDMARK'"' MP with DuPontTM HYVAR® X-L herbicide.
SPRAY EQUIPMENT .
Following a LANDMARKTM MP application, do not use this spmy equipment
for application m agriculmml or ornamental crops. The mixing and application
equipment must be used far forestry and non-crop applications only, unless directed
Database and formal copyright O by Vance Commuaicadon Corp. A
otherwise by supplemental labeling. This is extremely important as low coos of
r LANDMARK MP can kill or severely injure most crops.
APPLTCAT70N
Use a sdfficient volume'of water to ensure thorough coverage when applying
LANDMARKTM MP as a broadcast or d'veeted spmy. Select a spmy volume and
delivery sysem that will ensure thorough coverage and a uniform spmy panem.
Be sure the sprayer is calibrated before use. Avoid overlapping and shut off
spmy booms while starting, coming, slowing, or sloping to avoid injury to desired
species.
rVIIXING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Fill spmy tank 4z full of water.
2. With the agitator conning, add the proper amount of LANDMARKTM MP.
3. If using a companion product, add [he recommended amount
4. For pos[emergent applications, add the proper amount of spmy adjuvanu.
5. Add the remaining water.
6, Agitate the spray tank thoroughly.
LANDMARK''" MP spmy preparations are stable if they arc pH neutral or alkaline
aad stored at or below !00'F.
SPRAYER CLEANUP
Thoroughty clean all mixing and spmy equipment following applications of
LANDMARK'" MP as follows:
1. Drain tank; thoroughly rinse spray ranks, boom, and hoses with clean water.
2, Fill the tank with clean waur and 1 gal of household ammovia (contains 3%
active) for every 100 gal of waur. flush the hoses, boom, and nozzles with the
deanidg solution. 77ren add more waur m compleuly fill the rank. Exposure to IANDMARKTM MP may injure or kill '
most crops. Injury may be more seven when the crops are irrigeud. Do not
apply LANDMARKTM MP when these conditions are identified and powdery,
dry soil or light or sandy soil are known to be prevalent in the azea m be reaed.
• Applications made where mnoff water flows onto agriculmml land may injure
crops. Applications made during periods of intense rainfall, to soils sammud
with water, surfaces paved with maurials such as asphalt or conereu, or
soils through which rainfall will not readily penetrau may result in mnoff and
movement of LANDNL9RKTM MP. Do not treat frozen soil. Treated soil should
be left undisturbed u reduce the potential for LANDMARKTM MP movement
by snit erosion due to wind or water.
Do nofuse on lawns, walks, driveways, tennis courts, or similar areas.
Keep from contact with fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, and seeds.
Do not apply in or on irtigation ditches or canals including their outer banks.
Do no[ apply through any type of irzigation system.
Do no[ use tLe equipment used to mix or apply LANDMARKTM MP an crops
unless specifically directed by supplemental labeling. When applied on fertilizer,
do not use the impregnation, transport or application equipmentto make subsequent
applications m crops. The mixing and application equipment may be used for
forestry and non-crop applications only.
If non-crop sites treated with ~LANTMARKTM MP are ro be converted to a
food, feed; or fiber agricultural crop, or ro a horticglNml crop, do not plant the
treated sites for at (cast one year afar the LANDMARKTM MP application. A
field bioassay must then be completed before planting ro crops. To conduct a
field bioassay, grow to mam[ity test snips of the crop(s) you plan to grow tLc
following yeaz. The test strips should cross the entire field including knolls and
low areas. Crop response to the bioassay will indicate whether or not W plant the
!1 rights reserved.
