<br />Agricultural Use Requirements
<br />Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Wodccr Pro-
<br />tection Standard, 40 CFR pan 170. This standard contains requirements for the
<br />protection of agrieulmml workers on farms, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses,
<br />hand handlers of agricultural pesticides, It contains rcquimmenra for training, de-
<br />contamination, notification, and emergency assistance. It also contains specific
<br />instrvctions and exceptions pertaining to the statements on this label about per-
<br />sonal protective equipment (PPE) and restricted-entry interval. The requ'vements
<br />to this box only apply to uses of this product that are covered by the Worker
<br />Protection Standard.
<br />Do not enter or allow worker envy loco treated azeas during the restricted entry
<br />interval (RE]) of 12 `hours.
<br />PPE required for early entry m treated areas that is permitted under the Worktt
<br />Protection Standard and that involves contact with anything that has been treated,
<br />such as plants, soil, or water, is:
<br />• Coveralls
<br />• Chemical-resistant gloves such as Barrier Laminate, Nitrite Rubber, Neoprene
<br />Rubber, or Viton
<br />• Shoes plus socks '
<br />STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
<br />Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. Open dumping
<br />is prohibited.
<br />Storage: Score above 28-F or agitate before use.
<br />Pesticide Disposal: Pesticide, spray mixture, or rinse wamr that cannot be used
<br />according to label instmcdons must be disposed ofaccording to applicable Federal,
<br />stale, or local procedures. -
<br />Plastic Container Disposal: Triple rinse (or equivalent). Thrn offer for recy-
<br />cling or reconditioning, or puncture and dispose of ht a sanitary landfill, or by
<br />incinemdon, or; if allowed by score and local authorities, by buming, If btuned,
<br />stay out of smoke.
<br />Metal Conminer Disposal: Triple rinse (or equivalent). Then offer for rerycling
<br />or reconditioning, or puncture and dispose of m a sanitary landfill, or by other
<br />procedures approved by state and local authorities.
<br />Container Disposal for Refillable Containers: Replace the dry discomect cap,
<br />if appliwhle, and'sea]all openings which have been opened during use, Remm
<br />the empty container 20 a collection site designated by 17ow AgroScienees. If the
<br />container has been damaged antl cannot be remmed according to the recommended
<br />procedures, contact the Dow AgroSciences Customer Service Center at 1-800-258•

<br />GENERAL INFORMATION
<br />Garton" 4 herbicide is recommended for the comroi ofunwantedwoodypIants add
<br />stuns! and perennial broadleaf weeds in forests, and on non<rop areas including
<br />industrial manufacturing and storage sites, tights-of--way such as electrical power
<br />lines, communication ]mes, pipelines, roadsides and railroads, frnce rows, non-
<br />irrigation ditch banks, and around farm buildings. Use an these sites may include
<br />application to grazed areas as well as establishment and maintenance of wildlife
<br />openings.
<br />General Use Precautions
<br />Agricultural Use Requirements for Forestry Usa: For use of this product

<br />Use Requirements for Non-cropland Areas: No Worker Protection Standazd

<br />In Arizona: The smie of Arizona has not appproved Garlon 4 for use on plants
<br />grown for commcreiai production; specificalty forests grown for cornmerciai
<br />timber production, or on duignated grazing areas
<br />Cbemigadon: Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system.
<br />Other Precautions:
<br />• When applying this product in tank cols combination, follow all applicable use
<br />directions and precautions on each manufaeturei s label.
<br />• Do not apply on ditches used to trnnspott irrigation water. Do not apply where
<br />runoff or irrigation water may flow onto agneultural ]and az injury to crops
<br />may result •
<br />• Do not apply this product using mist hlowers unless a drift control additive,
<br />high viscosity inverting system, or equivalent is used to consul spmy drift
<br />• Spmys applied direcdy so Christmas trees may result in conifer injury. When
<br />Heating unwanted vegetation in Christmas tree plantations, care should be taken
<br />to direct Spmys away firm conifers.
<br />• Do not apply Garlon 4 directly to, ar otherwise permit it ro come loco di-
<br />rect contact with grapes, tobacco, vegetable crops, Dowers, or other desirable
<br />bmadlcafplants and do not permit spmy mists containing it to drift onto them.
