A COMPATIBILITY TEST
(see COMPATIBILITY TE57 section) should be made prior m tank mixing.
To prepare oil in water emulsions, half-fill spmy mnk with water, then add.
appmpnate amount of emulsifier. With continuosm agitation, slowly add the
herbicide and then the ail (such as diesel oil or tad oil) or a prctnix of oil plus '
addidonal emulsifier to spmy mnk. Complete filling of spmy tank with water.
Maintain vigorous agimdon during spmy operation to prevrnt oil and water from
forming separnm layem.
BANVEL may be applied broadcast using tither ground or aerial applicatidn
equipment. When using ground equipment, appTy 3 to 600 gallons of diluted
spray per treated acre. Volume of spmy applied will depend on the height,
density, and type of wceds or bmsh being treamd and on the type of equipment
being used. When using aerial equipment apply 2 to 40 gallons of diluted spmy
per treated aim in a water-based carrier.
BANVEL may be applied to individual clumps or sma8 areas (SPOT TREAT-
MENT) of undesirable vegetation using handgun or shnilar types of applicadon
equipment Apply diluted sprays to allow complete waning (up to run otI) of
foliage and stems.
Herbicide adjuvants or othe[ spmy additives (emulsifiers, sutfacmnm, wetting
agents, drift control agents, or penetrano) may be used for wetting, penetration, or
drift control Spray additives must be agriculmrnlly approved when used in pasture
applications. If spmy additives are used, read and follpw all use recommendations
and precautons on product label.
WEEDS CONTROLLED
BANVEL, when applied at recommended rntcs, will give conVO] of many AN-
NIUAL, BIENNIAL, and PERENNIAL broadleaf weeds, and many WOODY
brush and vine species commonly found in pasture, hay, rangeland, and general
farmstead (non-cropland) areas.
