-2- <br />-, <br /> <br />• II. Tract A-1- No mining planned for this area - 27 acres. <br />III. Tract A - Mining will begin in 16 years-49 acres will <br />be mined. <br />IV. Tract B - Mining will begin in 1985 and continue until <br />the year 2,000. 28 acres will be mined; east half will <br />not be mined. <br />e. A total of 2-5 acres will be mined per year. <br />f. Water Control - <br />P1ost of the runoff is carried into a sediment pond. Catchment <br />dams will be built in the stream channel to capture and control <br />runoff. Dissipators will also be built to control runoff. <br />a. Life of the mine - will mine until the year 2045 (approximate). <br />10. Reclamation Plan: <br />a. Final Land use <br />I. Upper part of quarry which is steeper will be a wildlife <br />area (approx. 99 acres). <br />II. Lower part of quarry which is gentler will be an industrial <br />area. (approx. 41 acres) <br />b. Basic Relcamation Sequence <br />I. Will set up experimental area in N.E. area for reclamation. <br />II. Tract C will be reclaimed first followed by tract B. <br />III. By year 2005 (approx.) tracts BRC will be reclaimed as well <br />as the northern portion of tract A. <br />c. The quarry will be fully reclaimed in the year 2045.(approx.) <br />d. Slope - <br />I. Wildlife area - 1:1 to 2:1. <br />II. Industrial area - 2:1 or less. <br />e. Water control will be obtained through a combination of dissipators, <br />catchment dams, contour terraces, catchment basins and terraces. <br />f. Topsoil - <br />I. No topsoil saved in most places - 12 inches of crushed <br />limestone will be used as a growth media. <br />II. The stockpiled topsoil in tracts B R C will be used for <br />critical areas - 4 to 6 inches spread over affected area. <br />III. Soil amendments. <br />40 lbs/acre nitrogen 80 lbs/acre <br />phosphorous <br />
