•
EXHIBIT B: Mining Plan
The Phoenis: mine is a pre-existing mine that has had
considerable production in the past (1935 to 1942). The
old workings consist of open stopes that are in good
condition.
All waste rock from the new workings will be stored
permanently in old underground stoped and serve as ground
support. The waste products from the ore dressing facility
will be returned to the mine and stored in the old stopes.
Use of the surface near the portal will be confined
to surface plant equipment, such as the air compressor,
water tank, and air recieving tank. Ore will be stored in
the pre-existing ore bins prior to shipment. Ore bins and
plant equipment were in place before the Mines Land
Reclamation Law,> came into being. The ore dressing facility
will be designed for a 10-ton per day capacity.
Extraction will begin from pre-existing underground
workings. New surface disturbances will be confined to
the area used for the ore dressing (mechanical upgrading
process) facility and a settling pond placed on the pre-
existing dump. See Figure 2.
The proposed date of commencement is April 15. 1982, and
the proposed date of completion is May 1, 2082.
