• <br />SEEDING RECOMI~NDATIONS <br />• <br />For best results seed should be drilled 4" into a prepared seedbed then <br />apply mulch. If slope is to steep or drill is not available broadcast <br />seed over a prepared seedbed. Seed should then be covered with about <br />~" of soil. This can best be done with a hsrrow or if area is small a <br />hand rake. <br />The best time to seed is late fall, just prior to the ground freezing. <br />In this area it would be best in the months of October or November. <br />This allows the seed to stay in the ground until spring when it can <br />germinate and make the best use of spring moisture. Next best would be <br />an early spring seeding. It's best to get in as soon as the ground has <br />thawed and dry enough to work.
