<br />impaiced by its interpretation in the other sense.

<br />Sham, False. In taxation, a transaction without sub
<br />stance that will be disregarded for tax purposes. See

<br />Sham pleading. Those which are inherently false and
<br />moat have been known by interposing party to be un•
<br />true. Pentecostal Holiness Church, Inc. v. Mauney,
<br />FIa.App., 270 So.2d 762, 769. A "sham pleading". sub
<br />ject to motion to strike (Fed.R.Civil P. 12(D), u one that
<br />is goad in form, but (else in fact, and not pleaded in good
<br />faith. Scott v. Meek, 228 S.C. 29, 88 S.E.2d 768, 769. A
<br />pleading is "sham" only when it is so clearly False that it
<br />does not raise any bona fide issue. Fontana v. Town of
<br />Hempstead. 219 N.Y.S.2d 383, 384. Pleading may be
<br />stricken as "sham" when its allegations appear false on
<br />the face of the pleading. Kashmir Corp. v. Nelson, 37
<br />Or.App. 887, 588 P.2d 133. 336.
<br />Shanghaiing sailors. /shtighey/. Practice of drugging,
<br />tricking, intoxicating or otherwise forcing persons to
<br />become sailors-usually to secure advance money or a
<br />premium.
<br />Under federal law, the offense of procuring or induc•
<br />ing, or attempting to do so, by farce, or threats, or by
<br />representations which one knows or believes to be un-
<br />true, or while the person is intoxicated or under the
<br />influence of any drug, to go on board of any vessel, or
<br />agree to do so, to perform service or labor thereon, sueh
<br />vessel being engaged in interstate or foreign commerce,
<br />on the high seas or any navigable water of the United
<br />States, or knowingly to detain on board such vessel such
<br />person, so procured or induced, or knowingly aiding or

<br />Share, n. Apart or definite portion of a thing owned by
<br />e number of persons in common and contemplates some-
<br />thing owned in common by two or more persons end has
<br />reference to that pert of the undivided interest which
<br />belongs to some one of them. A unit of stock represent•
<br />ing ownership in a corporation. "Share" means the unit
<br />into which the proprietary interests in a corporation are

<br />Share and share alike. In equal shares or proportions.
<br />The words commonly indicate per capita division; end
<br />they may be applied to a division between classes as well
<br />as to a division among individuals. See Per capita.
<br />Share certificate. An instrument of a corporation certi-
<br />fying chat the person therein named is entitled to a
<br />certain number of shares; is is prima facie evidence of
<br />his title thereto. Document which evidences partic-
<br />ipation in a voting trust of shares of a corporation.
<br />Sharecropper. Type of tenant farmer who lives on and
<br />works the land of another, his compensation being a
<br />portion of the crops minus any advances for seed, food,
<br />tools, etc.
<br />Sharecropping. Type of agricultural arrangement in
<br />which the landowner leases land and equipment to
<br />tenant or sharecropper who, in turn, gives to the land-
<br />lord apercentage of the crops as rent.
<br />Shareholder. See Stockholder (Shareholder].
<br />Share of corporate stock. The unit into which the
<br />proprietary interests in a corporation ere divided. Rev.
