(OOIi <br />unn rt.ir ur. <br />This report is an addendum to the Report of • Gravel Evaluation Tnvesti- <br />gatton prepared fora proposed gravel pit southeast of iimnath. Colorado, <br />and submitted October 6, 1977. <br />Three (3) additional test borings, Borings 24, 25. and 26. were drillyd <br />at the reference site on September 19, 1978. Locations of the test <br />borings are shown on file attached Test boring Location Plan. The borings <br />were advanced to depths fourteen (14) feet beicw {,re;rnt grade: with <br />• four (4) inch diameter continuous-fliyhl augers. Loy: indicating ll,r <br />primary strata encountered have been {rrcya~•ed and arr inctudl_rl r~rl page ~,, <br />The following arc the characteristics of the primary strata encountered <br />in the borings: <br />(1) ToPSO-il: Each test boring penetrated a Layer of dark brown <br />silty topsoil one (1) foot thick. The upper six (6) to eight <br />(8) inches of the topsoil have been penetrated by root growth <br />and oryaniC matter. <br />(2) Sandy Silty Cl~: Thr. topsoil is underlain by brown, <br />moist sandy silty clay.
