Im act

The proposed Three Bell Ranch mining and reclamation activity will have no
significant negative impact upon Colorado wildlife.
Studies show that the proposed mine sites provide habitat conditions typical
of pasture and farm land of the surrounding area. The areas of gravel extrac-
lion have been selected in a pattern that preserves existing trees and land
most suitable for wildlife habitat. Reclamation of mined areas should greatly
improve and enrich the potential of increased wildlife, particularly birds
and mammals due to the great increase in riparian sites. The gradual taking
of materials and the vastness of the entire area should be beneficial in
maintaining the existing wildlife.
Summation
• The proposed reclamation program will enhance, and open new habitats fr~r
wildlife and at the same time it will provide a n.-w nature] recrea[ionaL
resource for man.
• H-2
