RECLAMATION PLAN

Reclamation will be an on-going activity concurrent with mining, with back-
filling, contouring and sloping, spreading of topsoil, grading, [ileing
between excavated areas to maintain a constant water level, sloping of banks
on a four to one slope and grass seeding. We expect to continually spread
topsoil and seed as each area is mined, thereby complying with all state and
county reclamation requirements that would guard against undue erosion and
would provide for adequate vegitation. Seeding and grassing activity shall
take place immediately (season permitting) whenever practical size areas be-
come available and free from mining activity.
a Topsoil
Upon the completion of mining of each area, unused topsoil will be replaced
to low lying areas that are badly in need of fill. The area that will show
much improvement will be the land being irtunediately to the south of the large
New Cache La Poudre Canal. The vast amount of seepage at this time should
be greatly reduced.
Water
The gravel extraction plan provides for twelve individual pits for the express
purpose of minimizing erosion of lake shores, maintaining a more desirable
water level, causing less impact on ground water and create a more desirable
area for recreation.
.
