• -2- ~
EXHIBIT D (Cont.)
Soils
The pit is located in an area containing the Leadville Series of
soils as described in the Chaffee-Lake Area Soil Survey from the
U. S. Soil Conservation Service. The Leadville Series is described
as "deep, o~ell-drained soils on mountains. These soils formed in
stony and cobbly~ medium textured glacial outwash. Slopes range
from 3 to 25 percent. Elevation ranges from 8200 to 10000 feet."
EXHIBIT E
Reclamation Plan
It is intended that the pit•~vill be relcaimed to the extent of
dozing off cut banks and steep slopes to avoid undue erosion and
to generally landscape the area. Possibly some grass reseeding ex-
perimentation will be done to see if vegetation can be established
in the area after disturbance of the overlying soils. Probably some
of the sulfur dioxide effect has been reduced so a better stand of
grasses can be established. The general countour of the area should
generally resemble the origional hillside o-rith a slightly steeper
slope at the bottom.
