Exhibit D -Reclamation Plan
With the advent of up slope drainage controls and [he ne+vly proposed use of excelsior mulch
blankets fastened to the slope with staples to reestablish vegetation. as well as the very deep soils
which will remain post mining, Allen P. Small Trucking and Excavation, Inc. proposes to reclaim
the slopes to behveen 2:1 and 3: L Due to the steep nature of the slopes, revegetation [asks +vill
be done by hand. The seed will be broadcast by hand and raked into the soil, and covered by the
excelsior mulch. The excelsior "Superior blanker' mulch will cost 65 cents per sq. yard, and
1000 staples will cost $47.00. The reclamation will be restricted to cut slopes, as there will be no
fill slopes.
Because of the small amount of material to be removed and the +•erv deep soil on the sne, the
remaining depth of "growth medium" will be sufficient for seeding activities.
Because the seed will be broadcast by hand and raked into the soil rather than using a Imctor. the
sown rate will be increased 2 times from IS lbs./acre to 30 pounds live seed (P L.S.) per acre.
Each component of the seed mix, in its respective ratio will meet this 30 P.L.S. per acre criteria
The mulch will be the excelsior blanket fastened [o the ground with metal staples, which will also
suppress weed growth.
The woody debris stripped for mining will be burned on site.
Exhibit E -Mining Plan Map and Reclamation Map
Please see attached revised Mining Plan and Reclamation Plan maps.
Exhibit L -Significant Marunade Structures
Please see revised maps for locations of existing manmade structures (buildings) +vhich
are within 200 ft. of the proposed boundary. All of these buildings are owned by AI len P.
Small Trucking and Excavation, Inc.
O[hcr Items
Please see attached proof of publication and proof of noticing for property owners within
200 ft. of the affected land. Please see attached proof of filing of additional material +vith
[he counh• clerk and recorder.
Thank you for considering these adequacy responses.
