Box 850 Greeley, Colorado 80632 RE: Application for Gravol Alining Permit near Del Camino by Siegrist Construction Company Dear Mr. Bower: The letter dated A1arch 11, 1982 to the Alined Land Reclama- tion written by D.H. Heiderstadt from your Denver office has been referred to me. That letter prompted our meeting of today at your office with Bob Cox of Siegrist Construction Co. and Gary Johnson of your staff. As a result of that disc>_lssion, we have arrived at a workable program that should relieve those indicated concerns of the Highway Department. Our program of mining in the vicinity (generally less than 200') of the bridge structures over the St. Vrain Creek on Interstate 25 and the service road will be controlled so that no mining will occur during periods of flood hazard, but instead mining will occur during late fall, winter, and very early spring periods. At all times, the Creek banks will be maintained in a safe and stable manner, with no excavation or backfilling occuring at any time any closer to the stream than that allowed by the Alined Land Reclamation conditions of-our mining permit. I trust that this letter recites the understanding of our meeting today and provides adequate protective measures for your facilities. I understand that you are prepared to contact Mined Land Reclamation regarding our understanding.
