~~ • •
and was growing at the end of fall. This effort does not have
additional growing seasons for comparison.
In 1995, the developer of the Elkhorn Estates Subdivision, on
the south portion of the Daisy Placer, lust south of this Memphis
project, broadcast a "Dryland-Grass Seed" mixture into a disturbed
area with identical soil conditions. This area continues to be
covered with a fairly dense vegetation. The seed mixture was
purchased from the Montrose Co-op.and now costs $110 for a 50 lb
sack. It consists of 25°s Srome with 4 species of wheat and rye
grasses.
Although 50 #'s/acre is a bit excessive for a seedingg rate, it
is proposed to use a similar mixture for this endeavor. As stated in
our phone conversation, I am still awaiting a response from the
Natural Resources Conservation Service, and will modify the above
based upon their recommendations.
In regards to the fence to be constructed along the south
boundary of the project, when all of the material has been removed,
the contractor will remove the fence, prior to any further
development of the property: If the project is terminated prior to
total removal, and reclamation commences on the rest of the project
area, the owners request that this fence be left in place and not
removed.
it is proposed that the bond for the project be as follows:
As previously agreed to - $982
Modification of Task 4:
Seed $110
Labor - 2 hrs at $25/hr $50
$160
Therefore, $60 additional + 19°s = $71
$1053
The above addresses each of the items of concern in our last
conversations and correspondence. Your approval of these items would
be greatly appreciated. As mentioned above, we will provide the bond
requirements upon receipt of your approval of the application as now
presented.
S' erely,
Robert A. Larso~
