Record stream <br />flow conditions (e. g., low and clear; iced over, high and turbid; etc.). <br />(vi) Minimize the number of people collecting and running the samples. The object is to ensure that each is done <br />the same way every time. <br />B. <br />MONITORING REQUIREMENTS <br />1. Frequency and Samnle Tvpe <br />Monitoring will be required os shown in the following tables. Refer to the permit for locations of monitoring points. In <br />the selection of monitoring frequency for each parameter, several factors were considered, including the frequency of <br />detection and level of the pollutant found in past monitoring, the level of the corresponding e8luent limit, the potential <br />toxicity of the pollutant, and the need for accuracy in the measurement of the parameter. If the results of monitoring <br />performed in compliance with the specified frequencies demonsvate that an alternate frequency would be more <br />appropriate, the permit may be reopened, subject to the provisions of the Reeulations for the State Discharge Permit <br />Svstem, in order to incorporate that frequency. <br />For discharges which flow intermittently, samples must be collected at {east once within the calendar period that is <br />delineated by the monitoring frequency, whenever any discharge occurs within that calendar period. <br />For discharge point 001 A, no special sampling restrictions related to stormwater apply. However, the data that is collected <br />must provide an accurate representation of the quantity and quality of the water flowing past the point.
