According
to TR 15 and the 1991 Annual Reclamation Report,
the above-mentioned ponds were to be surveyed this
year. A review of previously submitted data
indicates that surveys are not warranted this year.
The enclosed summary was extracted from annual
reclamation reports and TR 15. Tab 7, Appendix 7-
11A presents detailed information on anticipated
sediment volumes. The results of the surveys
performed to date indicate that sediment delivery
rates were overestimated in the design.
Peabody requests that the above-mentioned ponds be
surveyed in 1993 for sediment. At that time, a re-
evaluation will be made regarding frequency of
future surveys.
Sincerely,
Gary W. Wendt
Supervisor, Permits
bd
Enclosure
