We are concerned that
our water resoiuces, health, safety, property values aztd yuality life will be compromised if
the development occurs. With the recommendations made by the State of Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG), we request the following and to include wells
registered or unregistered with the State of Colorado:
Du[ing the extent of mining activities, if groundwater wider levels drop in our well,
Western Equipment and Truck, Inc., as stated in the DMG July 31, 2002,
correspondence, will `modify existing wells to operate under the lower
groundwater conditions. This will include re-drilling existing wells to deeper
depths or lowering the pumps. All work will be dons at Western Equipment and
Truck, Ins.'s expense." This includes registered and/or non-registered wells.
If existing wells cannot be repaired (including registered and/or non-registered
wells), Western Equipment and Truck, Inc. will drill a new well for the owner to
replace the damaged well. The new well will produce water of the the same
yuantity and quality to support historic use.
Western Equipment and Truck, Inc. will have apre-mining engincerinfi survey
made by a third parry structural and Youndation engineer, licensed as a Professional
Engineer in the State of Colorado, to document the condition of the foundations,
C~
~M~{Aj~na4l AGt~u •tiK
Z•d 66LO;iSEOE ope.+oio~ `.+aptnog d9S~b0 ZO TZ ~nli
