~ ~
Can4lbutora CMLRB l12 Permit Application
Agile Stone Systems, Inc.
4. Are there any wells located in the proposed permit area or within 200 feet of the
affected land boundary? If so, show them on a revised "Pre-Mining and Mining
Plan Map."
There are no wells located in the proposed permit area other than those
which will be owned by the applicant or have been drilled for monitoring
well purposes. Each well is marked on the Pre-Mining Base Map. There are
no wells within 200' of the afTected land boundaries.
Your Pre-Mining Plan Map shows estimated maximum floodplain boundaries for
Tallahassee Creek; however, there is no explanation in the application of what
level of storm event the boundaries are for. Fora 112 permit application the 100-
yeaz flood plain must be delineated, if there is some concern that a portion of the
operation may be within the floodplain. If a generally acceptable hydrologic
method was used to determine the floodplain boundary, please provide it in
Exhibit G,with documentation to support the location of the boundaries. Please
mazk the 100-yeaz floodplain boundary on this map if you have not done so.
The Pre Mining Base Map shows the 100 year flood plain delineated. It
clearly shows that no operations other than the 2 previously noted crossings
occur within the 100 year flood plain. The 100 year flood plain was produced
using digitized topographical data for over 250 square miles, prepared by
Verkaik and Associates Engineers using Eagle Point Software and analyzed
and placed on the map by Verkaik and Associates Engineers.
6. Please be awaze that Gravel Expansion Blocks I and 2 and Quarry Expansion
Blocks I and 2 aze not considered to be a part of this application. For the sake of
clazification and to reduce confusion in the future, please remove them from the
Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map. You can leave these units on the maps if you
want to declare that they are also part of the mining plan and you address these
areas appropriately in all other necessary exhibits.
Obviously we have chosen your latter option. The gravel and granite mining
areas are portrayed in 3 phased developments. They are shown on all maps
and now thoroughly discussed in all appropriate exhibits as requested.
Not all of the land within the permit boundary will be affected land. Refer to the
definition of affected land and delineate affected land boundaries that can be
marked in the field in accordance with Rule 3.1.12. To accomplish this you may
want to enlazge you map scale to effectively show the dimensions of land affected
by roads, railroads, etc.
