Evaluation of Pofential Well Impacts From
The Proposed Nix Property Sand and Gravel Operation
4.0 EVALUATION RESULTS
Considering the leveling phenomenon previously described at each of the proposed mining areas
and groundwater conditions represented on September 14, 2001, WWE determined the
maximum elevation differential between the pre-mining and post-mining groundwater surface at
the upgradient end of each mining azea.
As shown on Sheet 4, WWE estimated the post-mining groundwater surface elevation for each of
the proposed mining areas as follows:
• Mine Area 1 - 4793.5
• Mine Area 2 - 4791
• Mine Area 3 - 4797
• Mine Area 4 - 4795.5
• Mine Area 5 - 4793
Using this information, WWE computed the maximum elevation difference between the pre-
mining groundwater surface elevation and the average post-mining groundwater surface
elevation for the upgradient end of each pit. The estimated maximum elevation differences are
as follows:
• Mine Area 1 - 2 feet
• Mine Area 2 - 1 foot
• Mine Area 3 - 3 feet
• Mine Area 4 - 3.5 feet
' 011-074.000 Wright Water Engineers, Inc.
