j ' ~ :f <br />4. On July 23, 1992, a representative of Trinidad Basin met with representatives of the <br />Division to discuss the discharge of June 29, 1992. As a result of the meeting, Trinidad Basin <br />agreed to apply for a CDPS permit to regulate discharges from the sediment ponds. During the <br />meeting, the representative from Trinidad Basin was informed that a permit could not be issued <br />until the outstanding balance for past permit fees was paid. <br />5. The Division received a permit application on July 23, 1992. On September 2, 1992, <br />the Division sent a letter to Trinidad Basin listing the delinquent permit fees due and requesting <br />payment. To date, the outstanding balance for permit fees has not been paid and a discharge <br />permit has not been drafted. <br />6. On July 29, 1992, representatives of the DMG inspected the mine. A discharge was -- <br />observed from pond 15-P2 into the Del Aqua Arroyo. A sample of the discharge was collected <br />and analyzed. The results of the analysis showed the following level of pollutants: <br />Total Suspended Solids, mg/I 780 <br />Settleable Solids, ml/I >40 <br />Iron, mg/1 77 <br />pH, s.u. 7.2 <br />7. On July 29, 1992, representatives of the DMG inspected the mine. A discharge was <br />observed from pond 15-P1 l into the Del Aqua Arroyo. A sample of the discharge was collected <br />and analyzed. The results of the analysis showed the following level of pollutants: <br />Total Suspended Solids, mg/I 2210 <br />Settleable Solids, ml/l >40 <br />Iron, mg/f 48 <br />pH, s.u. 6.7 <br />8. On August 19, 1992, representatives of the DMG inspected the mine. A discharge <br />was observed from pond IS-P10 into the Del Aqua Arroyo. A sample of the discharge was <br />collected and analyzed. The results of the analysis showed the following level of pollutants: <br />Total Suspended Solids, mg/I 110 <br />2 <br />
